Laughing

Laughing is good for our minds, body, and soul. A girl in my print making class told me the for three years she tried to not laugh because she has some sort of infection in her lungs and it hurt to laugh. One day she realized this was the reason she felt so unhappy and she started to laugh again. Luckily her lungs were doing better so she was able to now laugh with out it hurting.
My sister Ashley loves to watch hilarious videos about animals and people and the weird things they do. She finds these video clips on Pinterest and YouTube. When I lived with her in college the year before I got married I would here her at night laughing her head off while watching some new hilarious video. This always made me smile.

Social Aggression

My Childhood Experience and Social Aggression

I remember vividly as a child getting picked on by boys and my girl "friends". Social aggression is still happening with children today. This means that I will be able to have an effect on the rising generations and teaching my own children how to stop social aggression. I remember my mom writing letters to my teachers about how other girls were picking on me and that this needed to stop. I don't remember what results came from my mom doing this... maybe my teacher spoke to the girls and the girls mother's. I am not sure. It is so sad that bullying happens.
I watched a lecture put on by The Department of Family Studies for the Marjorie Hinckley celebration. Marion Underwood who is a psychologist, who teaches at University of Texas gave the presentation.
I am going to attach the link below.
Marion's lecture and research is amazing and has done so much to brighten my understanding of social aggression.

Unbranded

The Documentary "Unbranded"
Image result for unbranded the film

Four, recently graduated Texas A&M young men decide to take an excursion from border of Mexico to the border of Canada; all while riding wild mustang horses.
This documentary is full of adventure, laughter, reality, and education on the status of the wild mustang population of the United States.
Horses are beautiful creations of God!
From this documentary I learned that there are currently 50,000 wild mustang horses being held in retirement ranches by the US government. There is an over population of wild horses, but what is to be done of this and how can we take care of out horses in an ethical way?

Prison Break

This weekend Chris and I had my sister Ashley and her husband Scott over. We started watching this TV series on netflix called "Prison Break". After they left I could not stop watching this show. The characters are captivating and the plot keeps me coming back for more. Prison is no place for the faint hearted.
The best thing about this show is the relationships and how they change and develop, but also the history of some of them. The devotion that Michael has to his brother is strong and pushes Michael to extreme measures. The female doctor and Michael are pretty much in love and I don't know where that is going but it looks promising.

Alan Rickman, a.k.a Severus Snape from Harry Potter died today from cancer. I was in my Print Making class when I found out the news. Fellow class mates were looking on their phones during class, and because of facebook and our hand held internet devise we were all able to catch the current news.
It is always sad to hear when a beloved actor passes on to the next side. I love watching the Harry Potter movies and Alan Rickman is a great actor and will be missed.

Today is saturday and we decided to go on a hike in Rock Canyon just up the street from Wymount where we live. We both really enjoy being outdoors. It was the perfect weather today. It was fresh, cool, and crisp. The trail was beautiful and we saw a ram cross the trail.

Be cool, real cool. Chris's sister Megan got these Ray bans for Chris to replace the ones we lost on our river trip we had with Megan 2 summers ago. Megan is a sweetheart

 Project Red 2014
The Fall I fell in Love I was taking a photography class at BYU. Here came Project Red Head! I love the rich color of Red hair and the flavor it brings to life. People are beautiful and I wanted to capture what I see in the beauty of RED. Below are some of the, "might I say" gorgeous photographs of some amazing people that I photographed with red hair. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. I never want to loose the talent I gained from the class, but unfortunately I see it slipping away... use it or loose it! I got to keep this hobby up xoxoxo

STAR WARS

Star Wars was Epic! Each Sunday my husband and I have dinner with my sister Ashley and her husband Scott. The past three months we spent quality time bonding as we watched all six episodes of Star Wars to prepare ourselves for episode 7. Prior to this I had not seen all six episodes and I got hooked. No wonder some people claim Star Wars as their religion. Haha! There is the Dark side and the light side and each side is constantly pulling you towards it. The characters are very convincing, especially Anikan Skywalker.  Will there ever be a character as convincing as Anikan to join the dark side? Kylo Ren did a great job, but it is true. he will never fill the shoes of Darth Fader.
While we were in Washington for Christmas and the New Year we saw Star Wars episode 7 twice and each time was great!
